A 60" infrared cheesemelter that sits over your range or on the wall, for melting, browning and holding plates at the pass.
The RDCM-60 is a 60" wide, 17.75" deep Delux Series cheesemelter with 55,000 BTU/H total (20,000 + 35,000 BTU/H infrared burners) above a heavy duty chrome rack. It suits restaurants, diners and Mexican kitchens that melt cheese, finish casseroles and brown toppings to order. Order it for natural gas or propane, range mount or wall mount; the pressure regulator comes with the unit.

Measure the space above your range or on the wall first. Royal's manual lists this series for installation on a non-combustible counter/floor only, so plan non-combustible surroundings.

55,000 BTU/H total (20,000 + 35,000 BTU/H infrared burners). Each burner is individually adjustable and lit by a standing pilot.
Delux construction
Fully welded frame (Royal lists a lifetime warranty on it), 1,200°F mineral wool insulation and stainless steel inside and out.
Easy to clean
A full-width, removable stainless steel crumb pan slides out for emptying.
Range or wall mount
Royal offers a range mount kit and a wall mount kit, plus a 3/4" gas connection from the range, as options.

- Choose natural gas or LP when you order. If your kitchen is above 2,000 feet, tell us the elevation so Royal can set the unit up for it.
- Tell us whether you need range mounting (and your range width) or wall mounting, so the right mounting kit is quoted with the unit.
- A qualified gas installer must connect the supplied regulator and a manual shut-off valve ahead of the unit, following local codes.
- Inspect the shipment before signing and note any visible damage on the freight bill.
Questions buyers ask
Can it mount on top of my range?
Yes. Royal builds it for range mounting or wall mounting; choose one when ordering. For range mounting the cheesemelter cannot be wider than the range, and Royal needs your range width to choose the bracket. The range mount kit and wall mount kit are listed as options; call us to add the one you need.
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
What gas connection does it need?
A 3/4" NPT connection at the right rear at the top of the unit. Pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane, and the regulator ships with the unit for your installer to connect. Royal also offers a 3/4" gas connection from the range as an option.
How much clearance does it need?
4" at the rear and 4" at the sides from combustible walls, 0" from non-combustible walls. Royal's manual lists this series for non-combustible counter/floor installation only.
Does it need an electrical outlet?
No electrical connection is listed. It lights with standing pilots and runs on manual burner valves.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture). Labor is covered when an authorized Royal service agency does the work. Royal lists a lifetime warranty on the fully welded frame.
How do I clean it?
Daily, empty and clean the crumb pan and brush debris from around the burner area. Wipe stainless steel with hot soapy water; don't use steel wool or abrasive powders.
