Description
A 48" Delux gas range with two 30,000 BTU open burners and a 36" griddle with three 20,000 BTU burners over a convection oven, for lines that cook on top and bake evenly below.
The RDR-2G36-126C is a 48" Delux Series gas restaurant range with two 30,000 BTU open burners and a 36" griddle with three 20,000 BTU burners, and one 26½" wide convection oven with open cabinet space beside it, instead of the two 20" standard ovens, 150,000 BTU/hr in all. It suits restaurants, cafeterias and caterers that sauté or griddle on top and roast or bake below. The Delux build adds a fully welded frame, a stainless steel burner box and 1,200°F mineral wool insulation. The convection fan needs a standard 120V grounded outlet; the burners and ovens run on natural gas or LP.

Delivery and setup
- Ships by freight carrier; the shipping cost depends on your location. See our shipping policy for details.
- Call (201) 467-8222 for the current lead time before you schedule installation.
- Choose natural gas or LP when you order. If your kitchen is above 2,000 feet, tell us the elevation so Royal can set the unit up for it.
- A qualified installer must connect it following local codes: gas through the supplied pressure regulator and a manual shut-off valve, and the convection oven to a grounded 120V outlet.
- Plan for on-site assembly of the back: Royal's manual has the installer screw the backguard/riser to the range and bolt the high shelf to it.
- Inspect the shipment before signing and note any visible damage on the freight bill.
Questions buyers ask
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
Does it need an electrical outlet?
Yes. The convection oven needs 120V for the fan motor and ignition: 8 amps per oven, on a 6' cord with a standard 3-prong grounded plug. Royal's manual says the convection oven cannot run during a power failure.
How is the BTU total figured?
2 burners × 30,000 + 3 griddle burners × 20,000 + 1 convection oven × 30,000 = 150,000 BTU/hr. Royal's sheet rates this top at 174,000 BTU/hr with two 20" standard ovens (27,000 BTU/hr each) and deducts 24,000 BTU/hr for the -126C convection base, which matches.
How much clearance does it need?
Royal lists 4" at the rear and 15" at the sides from combustible walls, and 0" from non-combustible walls. Without legs or casters, the range must extend 2" past the front of a non-combustible curb or platform.
Which side is the griddle on?
Royal builds the griddle on the left as standard; griddle on the right is an option. Call us before ordering if you want it on the right.
Which side is the oven on?
Royal builds the convection oven with the open cabinet space on the left or right. Tell us which side you want when you order.
What is the difference between the high shelf and the stub back?
The high shelf is a backguard with a shelf on top, 56½" overall height. The 6" high stainless steel stub back replaces it when you don't want a shelf. Royal's standard is the high shelf; call us to order the stub back instead. Royal's sheet does not give the overall height with the stub back.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture), with labor by an authorized Royal service agency. Cast iron parts are covered for 90 days. The welded frame has a lifetime warranty.
