A 72" low-profile radiant charbroiler, 11" high overall, built to sit on a refrigerated base.
The RDRB-72 is the 72" model in the Delux RDRB Radiant Broiler line: 12 stainless steel tubular burners rated at 15,000 BTU/hr each for 180,000 BTU/hr in total, on a 30.5" deep chassis. It suits restaurants, grills and bars. Order it for natural gas or propane; the pressure regulator comes with the unit.

Measure the counter depth and hood coverage first: the unit is 30.5" deep and the gas connection comes out at the right rear. Plan a non-combustible counter and wall.

Low-profile chassis
It stands 11" high overall on 4" adjustable heavy duty legs, which Royal calls the right height for a refrigerated base.

Fully welded frame, 1,200°F mineral wool insulation, stainless steel sides, front valve cover and ledge, stainless steel tubing for pilots.

- Choose natural gas or LP when you order. If your kitchen is above 2,000 feet, tell us the elevation so Royal can set the unit up for it.
- A qualified gas installer must connect the supplied regulator and a manual shut-off valve ahead of the unit, following local codes.
- Inspect the shipment before signing and note any visible damage on the freight bill.
Questions buyers ask
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
How many BTU is it?
180,000 BTU/hr total: 12 stainless steel tubular burners rated at 15,000 BTU/hr each (12 x 15,000 = 180,000).
What gas connection does it need?
A 3/4" NPT connection at the right rear of the unit. Manifold pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane, and the regulator ships with the unit for your installer to connect.
How much clearance does it need from the wall?
The spec sheet lists 4" at the rear and 15" at the sides from combustible walls, and 0" from non-combustible walls. Royal's countertop manual lists R(D)RB radiant broilers for non-combustible locations only, so plan a non-combustible counter and wall.
Does it need an electrical outlet?
No electrical connection is listed. It lights with standing pilots and runs on manual valves.
What options are available?
Fish grate; diamond grate; stainless steel splash guard, up to 12" high, sides tapered to 4" in front; plate shelf, with or without cutouts. Royal also makes matching stainless steel equipment stands with optional 5" swivel casters. Call us to add any of these.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture); cast iron parts are covered for 90 days. The spec sheet also lists a "fully welded frame with lifetime warranty"; Royal's warranty page does not detail that term, so ask us to confirm it with Royal.
How do I clean it?
Daily, clean the grates with warm water, a mild cleaner and a wire brush, brush debris from around the burners, and empty the crumb pan. Wipe stainless steel with hot soapy water; don't use steel wool or abrasive powders.
