The RHPE-24-2 is the 24" model in Royal's RHPE electric hot plate series: 2 solid 9" sealed elements at 2 kW each, 4 kW in all, each on its own infinite switch. It suits restaurants, cafés and caterers that cook on electric power or need extra burners where a gas line can't reach. Order it for 208V or 240V, single or three phase.

Sealed 9" elements
2 solid, sealed 9" round hot plate elements, 2 kW each, with no open coils to clean around.
Infinite heat control
Each element has its own infinite switch, so you can set any heat level from a simmer to full power.
Low-profile chassis
The compact heavy gauge body with double wall side panels is 11" high overall and stands on 4" adjustable heavy duty legs.
Easy to clean
A full-width removable stainless steel crumb pan catches spills; the stainless sides, control panel and ledge wipe clean.

What electrical service does it need?
4 kW at 208V or 240V, single or three phase. Royal's sheet lists maximum amps of 208V 1-phase 20 A; 240V 1-phase 17 A; 208V 3-phase 12 A; 240V 3-phase 10 A.
Can I order it in three phase?
Yes. Royal builds it for 208V or 240V and single or three phase; pick the option that matches your building.
Where does it go?
On a level counter or a Royal equipment stand. Royal's sheet says to install it only in non-combustible surroundings, so keep it away from wood walls and shelves.
Why do the option labels show different amps?
The amps in some option names on this page differ from Royal's 1-26 spec sheet (208V 3-phase option says 21 A, sheet says 12 A; 240V 3-phase option says 19 A, sheet says 10 A). The spec table uses Royal's figures; call us to confirm before your electrician sizes the circuit.
How does it compare with the gas RHP hot plate?
It has the same 24" width and 11" low-profile design, but uses 2 sealed electric elements instead of 30,000 BTU gas burners, so it needs an electrical circuit sized for its amps instead of a gas line.
Is there a matching stand?
Royal makes stainless steel equipment stands in 12" to 72" widths, knock-down or all-welded, with optional 5" swivel casters. The stand is sold separately.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture). Labor is covered when an authorized Royal service agency does the work.
How do I clean it?
Let the elements cool, wipe them with a damp cloth, and empty and wash the crumb pan daily. Wipe the stainless steel with hot soapy water; don't use steel wool or abrasive powders.
