It lights with standing pilots and needs a gas line but no electrical outlet.

- Call (201) 467-8222 for the current lead time before you schedule installation.
- Choose natural gas or LP when you order. If your kitchen is above 2,000 feet, tell us the elevation so Royal can set the unit up for it.

Questions buyers ask
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
Does it need electricity?
No. It lights with standing pilots and runs on gas valves only, so no outlet is needed.
How is the temperature controlled?
By hand: each burner has its own manual valve, so you can run one zone hotter than another. There is no thermostat; Royal's RTG griddles are the thermostatic version.
What gas connection does it need?
A 3/4" NPT connection at the right rear, 5" above the counter. Manifold pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane; the regulator ships with the unit for your installer to connect.
How much clearance does it need?
The spec sheet lists 4" rear and 15" sides from combustible walls; Royal's owner's manual lists 6" rear and 4" sides. Plan for the larger figures, or 0" from non-combustible walls.
What options are available?
Royal lists these options: 1" thick griddle plate, grooved griddle, chrome griddle plate, stainless steel equipment stand, 5" swivel casters for stand. Call us to add one.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture), with labor done by an authorized Royal service agency.
How do I clean the griddle plate?
Daily, scrub the warm plate with warm water and a fine-grit griddle brick, and empty and clean the grease can. Wipe stainless steel with hot soapy water; don't use steel wool or abrasive powders.
