Description
A 36" all-electric restaurant range with six 2 kW hot plates over a convection oven, for kitchens without gas.
The RRE-6-C is Royal's 36" electric restaurant range: six 9" solid hot plates at 2 kW each over a convection oven, 17 kW in all. It suits restaurants, food courts and kitchens where gas isn't available or allowed. It runs on 208V or 240V, single or three phase, and is hard-wired by an electrician.
Will it fit · Will it plug in
- Outside size
- 36" W × 41" D × 56½" H to the high shelf; 36" cooking height; depth includes the 9" convection housing
- Delivery size
- Crated 38½" W × 42" D × 36" H, about 675 lbs.
- Location
- Non-combustible surroundings only; without legs or casters it must extend 2" past the front of a non-combustible curb
- Electrical
- 208V or 240V, single or three phase, hard-wired at one terminal block. Max amps: 86 A (208V 1-ph), 52 A (208V 3-ph), 75 A (240V 1-ph), 45 A (240V 3-ph)
- Power
- 17 kW total
Check the circuit size with your electrician before ordering: the amps depend on voltage and phase.
Six 2 kW hot plates
Nine-inch solid hot plate elements over a full-width stainless steel drip tray.
Always operational
Three internal circuit breakers, so one failed element doesn't take the whole range down.
Convection oven
A two-speed ½ HP fan with a high/low switch and 3 chrome racks on 5-position adjustment; the oven uses the same 5 kW element rating as the standard oven.
Stainless build
Stainless steel front, sides, control panel and kick plate, with a backguard and high shelf (or 6" stub back).
Delivery and setup
- Ships by freight carrier; the shipping cost depends on your location. See our shipping policy for details.
- Call (201) 467-8222 for the current lead time before you schedule installation.
- Tell us the voltage (208V or 240V) and phase (single or three) when you order; Royal ships it wired for the phase you specify.
- A licensed electrician must hard-wire it at the terminal block following the National Electrical Code and local codes.
- Inspect the shipment before signing and note any visible damage on the freight bill.
Questions buyers ask
What electrical service does it need?
208V or 240V, single or three phase; tell us which when you order. Royal's 1-23A sheet lists max 86 A at 208V single phase, 52 A at 208V three phase, 75 A at 240V single phase and 45 A at 240V three phase (including 4 A for the convection oven). The January 2026 manual lists up to 88/56/78/50 A, so size the circuit for the higher figure.
Does it plug in?
No. An electrician hard-wires it at the terminal block through conduit at the back, with a ground wire, following the National Electrical Code and local codes.
How is the 17 kW figured?
6 hot plates × 2 kW + 5 kW oven (4 kW bottom + 1 kW top element) = 17 kW.
Where can it be installed?
In non-combustible surroundings only, per Royal's sheet and manual. If it doesn't stand on legs or casters, it must extend 2" past the front of a non-combustible curb or platform.
What if one element fails?
Three internal circuit breakers keep the rest of the range working, which Royal calls "Always Operational".
Can I get the stub back instead of the high shelf?
Yes. Choose the 6" high stainless steel stub back in the options; the high shelf version is 56½" overall.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture), with labor by an authorized Royal service agency.
