Description
A 36" high stock pot stove with a 90,000 BTU three-ring burner, for bringing big pots of stock, soup and pasta water to a boil.
The RSP-18-36 is Royal's 18" wide, 21" deep, 36" high stock pot range. One heavy cast iron three-ring burner puts out 90,000 BTU/hr in two sections of 45,000 BTU/hr, each with its own control and continuous pilot, so you can run just the inner ring to simmer or both rings to boil. It suits restaurants, commissaries, caterers and noodle and soup shops that cook in large pots. Order it for natural gas or propane; the pressure regulator comes with the unit.

Three-ring burner
A heavy cast iron three-ring burner is rated at 90,000 BTU/hr, split into two 45,000 BTU/hr sections.
Two controls per burner
Two manual valves run the inner and outer rings separately, and two continuous pilots light each section instantly.
36" working height
At 36" high it matches a standard counter line, for pots and braisers you work at counter height.
Easy to clean
A full-width removable stainless steel drip pan catches spills; the stainless sides and front valve cover wipe clean.

- Ships by freight carrier; the shipping cost depends on your location. See our shipping policy for details.
- Call (201) 467-8222 for the current lead time before you schedule installation.
- Choose natural gas or LP when you order. If your kitchen is above 2,000 feet, tell us the elevation so Royal can set the unit up for it.
- A qualified gas installer must connect the supplied regulator and a manual shut-off valve ahead of the unit, following local codes.
- Inspect the shipment before signing and note any visible damage on the freight bill.
Questions buyers ask
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
How does the three-ring burner work?
Each cast iron burner has two sections rated at 45,000 BTU/hr, 90,000 BTU/hr together. Two manual controls run the inner and outer rings independently, each lit by its own continuous pilot.
How much clearance does it need?
From combustible walls, 17" at the rear and 15" at the sides. From non-combustible walls, 4" at the rear and 0" at the sides. The spec sheet and the owner's manual give the same figures.
What heights are available?
Royal builds the single 18" stock pot range 18", 24" or 36" high (RSP-18-18, RSP-18, RSP-18-36), the double RSP-18D in 24" or 36", and a 24" wide RSP-24.
What gas connection does it need?
A 3/4" NPT connection at the right rear of the unit. Pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane, and the regulator ships with the unit for your installer to connect.
Can I add casters?
Royal's 2026 catalog lists casters as an option for its stock pot and wok ranges (set of 4 with 2 locking, or set of 6 with 3 locking). A caster-mounted gas appliance needs a flexible connector and a restraint.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture). Cast iron parts, such as the burner and grate, are covered for 90 days. Labor is covered when an authorized Royal service agency does the work.
How do I clean it?
Daily, clean the grate with warm water, a mild cleaner and a wire brush, brush debris from around the burner and empty the drip pan. Now and then remove the burner, clean it with a wire brush and check that the ports are open.
