Description
A 36" electric griddle with a thermostat every 12", for kitchens without a gas line.
The RTGE-36 heats a 3/4" thick polished steel plate with 3 heating elements, one every 12", 3.4 kW each (3 × 3.4 = 10.2 kW), each zone on its own thermostat adjustable from 200°F to 500°F. The 21" cooking depth and 11" low-profile body suit counters and equipment stands. It runs on 208V or 240V and must be installed in noncombustible surroundings.

Element every 12"
3 independent heating elements, 3.4 kW each (3 × 3.4 = 10.2 kW), each with its own thermostat adjustable from 200°F to 500°F.
3/4" polished plate
A 3/4" thick polished steel griddle plate with a 21" cooking depth.
Grease handling
A 4" wide stainless steel grease trough with a large drain opening empties into a 1-1/2 gallon stainless steel grease can.
Low-profile chassis
Compact heavy gauge chassis with stainless steel sides, control panel and ledge, double wall side panels and 4" adjustable legs.

What electrical service does it need?
It draws 10.2 kW at 208V or 240V, single or three phase. Royal's maximum amps: 208V 1 ph: 50 A; 240V 1 ph: 43 A; 208V 3 ph: 29 A; 240V 3 ph: 26 A. Your electrician sizes the circuit; there is no plug listed on the sheet.
Can it go next to a wall or on a wood counter?
Royal's spec sheet says to install it only in noncombustible surroundings, so plan a non-combustible counter or stand and wall.
How hot does it get?
Each 12" zone has its own thermostat adjustable from 200°F to 500°F.
What options are available?
Royal lists these options: grooved griddle, chrome griddle plate, stainless steel equipment stand, 5" swivel casters for stand. Call us to add one.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture), with labor done by an authorized Royal service agency.
How do I clean the griddle plate?
Daily, scrub the warm plate with warm water and a fine-grit griddle brick, and empty and clean the grease can. Wipe stainless steel with hot soapy water; don't use steel wool or abrasive powders.
