The SSPR-220 is Royal's 36" Delux high-BTU stock pot range: 2 heavy cast iron burners, each with a 50,000 BTU/hr outer ring and a 50,000 BTU/hr inner ring on separate controls, for 200,000 BTU/hr in all. The fully welded chassis stands 25" high on 6" legs. It suits restaurants, commissaries and caterers that boil large pots of water, stock and pasta fast. Order it for natural gas or propane; the pressure regulator comes with the unit.

- A qualified gas installer must connect the supplied regulator and a manual shut-off valve ahead of the unit, following local codes.
- Inspect the shipment before signing and note any visible damage on the freight bill.
Questions buyers ask
Does it run on natural gas or propane?
Either. Pick Natural Gas or Liquid Propane (LP) before adding it to the cart; Royal builds it for the gas you specify. Tell us your elevation if you are above 2,000 feet.
How do the burner rings work?
Each burner has an outer ring rated at 50,000 BTU/hr and an inner ring rated at 50,000 BTU/hr (100,000 BTU/hr together). Two manual controls run them independently, and both rings are sized for fast boiling.
How much clearance does it need?
Royal's spec sheet lists 17" at the rear and 15" at the sides from combustible walls, and 4" at the rear and 0" at the sides from non-combustible walls.
Is this 2 burners or one?
Two burners side by side on one 36" frame. Royal's spec table prints "1" under Burners for every SPR/SSPR model, but its features say the range comes in 1, 2 and 3 side-by-side units, and the 200,000 BTU total equals 2 × 100,000.
How does the SSPR compare with the SPR?
The SSPR is the high-BTU version: 100,000 BTU/hr per burner (50,000 + 50,000) for quick boiling, versus 50,000 BTU/hr (35,000 + 15,000) on the SPR, on the same 21" deep, 25" high frame.
What gas connection does it need?
A 3/4" NPT connection at the right rear of the unit. Pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane, and the regulator ships with the unit for your installer to connect.
Can I add casters?
Yes, Royal offers 5" swivel casters: a set of four with 2 locking, or a set of six with 3 locking for the double and triple models. A caster-mounted gas appliance needs a flexible connector and a restraint.
What does the warranty cover?
Royal's limited warranty is 2 years on parts and 1 year on labor from installation (up to 30 months from manufacture). Cast iron parts, such as the burners and grates, are covered for 90 days. Labor is covered when an authorized Royal service agency does the work.
