Scotsman SSM1-P SSM Plus Single Water Filtration System for Ice Machines, 1.67 GPM
A single-cartridge filter system that keeps chlorine taste, odor and particles out of the ice and helps protect the ice machine.
The Scotsman SSM1-P is the single system in the SSM Plus line, built for Scotsman by Everpure. It holds one cartridge with ultrafine half-micron filtration and food-grade polyphosphate to reduce chlorine, off-tastes, odors and particles, and the AquaArmor antimicrobial with AgION reduces slime and mold growth on machine surfaces. Scotsman sizes it for cube ice machines up to 650 lb. and flake, nugget and nugget dispenser machines up to 1,200 lb. Maximum flow is 1.67 gallons per minute.
Ultrafine 1/2 micron filtration with food-grade polyphosphate keeps chlorine, off-tastes, odors and dirt particles out of the ice.
A silver-based antimicrobial compound reduces the growth of bacteria, algae, mold and slime on ice machine surfaces, which helps prevent premature clogging.
Scotsman says filtration can cut unscheduled water-related maintenance calls by as much as 40%.
Listed to NSF Standard 42 for chlorine, taste, odor and particle reduction and NSF Standard 53 for turbidity, cyst and asbestos reduction.

SSM Plus uses the SSMRC1 replacement cartridge (package of 1) or SSMRC6 (package of 6).
NSF Standard 42: chlorine reduction class 1, taste and odor reduction, and particle reduction class 1 (99.9% of particles 1/2 micron and larger). NSF Standard 53: turbidity, cyst and asbestos reduction. It is listed only for these functions.
