The Wells HT-227 is a top-mount, bain marie style drop-in from the HT series with one 25-3/4" x 26-7/8" opening sized for 4/3 pans. It is designed for wet operation, with a positive-off thermostat, fully insulated tank and a 1" drain with ball valve as standard. It runs on 208/240V single phase and is hard-wired.
Measure the counter run: the flange is 29-1/2" wide and 30-5/8" deep.

An adjustable thermostat with a ready light sits in a recessed one-piece panel that helps prevent accidental adjustments.

No. Wells designs the HT bain marie tanks for wet operation only. Check the water level often and add hot water as needed.
Wells says to add about 1" of hot tap water before turning the tank on, then preheat for about 30 minutes before setting the control. Always hold food in an inset or pan, never directly in the tank.
Wells lists a 28-1/2" x 29-1/2" top cutout and 10-3/4" clearance below the tank, 1" at the back and sides and 4-1/8" in front.
