A waterless drop-in hot food well that holds 1 full-size pan hot with no water, plumbing or drain.
The Wells MDW100 is a single-well modular dry well for top-mount installation. Tubular heating elements and a stainless steel fan heat each well without water, so there is no fill, no drain and no scale to clean. Each well holds one full-size steam table pan up to 6" deep or fractional pans, with an infinite control and a built-in high limit. It runs on 208/240V single phase, field convertible to 3-phase, and is hard-wired.
Check the front wall: Wells wants 6" of clearance in front of the 5.9" wide control box.

Each well holds one full-size steam table pan up to 6" deep, or equivalent fractional pans. Wells adapter tops (20176, 20434, 21615, 21621, 21624) take round insets.
208/240V, single phase, field convertible to 3-phase. It uses 0.61 kW per well at 208V and 0.8 kW per well at 240V, 0.61 kW or 0.8 kW total. Amps: 208V 2.9 A; 240V 3.3 A. It is hard-wired.
The included Wellslok system fastens to metal counters up to 0.25" thick. For wood and plastic counters Wells offers an extension kit.
Wells lists 6" to the front wall, 1" to the back and side walls and 6.75" to any surface below. If you store items underneath, Wells recommends a baffle 8.5" below the unit.
Wells lists a 1-year parts and labor warranty on the MDW dry wells.
