Full-size 12 x 20 well
Holds one standard 12" x 20" pan or fractional insets; Wells adapter tops take round insets.
Auto water fill
A solenoid keeps the water at the right level during service, with a backflow preventer built into the fill line.
Fully insulated
Insulation on the sides, front, back and bottom gives quicker preheat and faster recovery, and Wells says it suits non-metal counters.
Thermostatic control
A thermostat in a recessed one-piece front panel holds the set temperature; a ready light and high limit are standard.
Wellslok mounting
Wellslok ears clamp the flange to the countertop from below with a screwdriver for quick installation.
1/2" drain
A 1/2" NPT drain empties the well for cleaning at the end of the day.
Delivery and setup
- Inspect the carton for damage before you sign, and note any damage on the delivery receipt.
- Have a licensed electrician hard-wire the unit to a circuit that matches the nameplate voltage and phase; Wells notes that installation must meet local electrical and plumbing codes.
- Lay out the 14" x 22" top cutout and the 12-7/8" x 3-1/8" apron cutout from the Wells install sheet. If you store items under the unit, Wells recommends a baffle 8-1/2" below it.
- Have a plumber connect the 1/2" NPT drain to a suitable drain line.
- Run a 1/4" NPT water line to the solenoid valve (120 psi and 120°F maximum). Local codes may require an extra vacuum breaker.
Questions buyers ask
What size cutout does it need?
Wells lists a 14" x 22" top cutout and a 12-7/8" x 3-1/8" cutout in the front apron for the control panel. Keep the bottom of the unit accessible for service.
What power does it need?
208/240V single phase: 1240 W and 6.0 A at 208V, 1650 W and 6.9 A at 240V. It is hard-wired; Wells does not offer a cord and plug for this model.
What pans fit?
One standard 12" x 20" pan or equivalent fractional pans. Wells adapter tops take 2-1/2, 4, 7 and 11 qt. round insets.
Can I run it dry?
