Wells WVC-46 Canopy Ventless Hood, 46" Wide, 4-Stage Filtration, Self-Contained ANSUL Fire System, for Electric Ovens, 208/240V
A ceiling-mounted canopy ventless hood for electric ovens, combis and steamers, with on-board filtration and fire suppression.
The Wells WVC-46 is a Type-1 certified, UL710B recirculating canopy hood for enclosed, forward-facing electric appliances such as convection ovens, double-stack ovens, combi ovens and steamers. Its 4-stage filter cleans the air on board, so no outside duct is needed, and the WVC-46 carries a self-contained ANSUL fire system. It runs on 208/240V single phase at 4.3 A.
Check the appliance first: it must be an electric oven, combi or steamer with a front door, and fit Wells' overhang limits.
Built for electric convection ovens, conventional and double-stack ovens, combi ovens, cook and hold ovens, steamers and oven-proofer combinations.
Stainless baffle filter with grease cup, fiberglass pre-filters and a high-efficiency / carbon-charcoal filter pack, removable without tools. Maximum measured grease emissions are 0.0003 lb/hr/ft.
The WVC-46 carries its own ANSUL tank, heat sensors and plenum nozzle. An ANSUL representative supplies the saponifier and nitrogen cartridge, then activates and tags the system.
Airflow sensors and an interlock disable the appliances if filters are missing or clogged, or in a fire. A light warns when filters need changing.
Wells lists a 42 dBA average sound level, with horizontal or vertical exhaust, field convertible.
