A 36-1/2" quartz-heated cheesemelter that melts, browns and holds plates right at the pass.
The Vulcan 1036 is a 36-1/2" Core Series electric cheesemelter for finishing nachos, melts, casseroles and plated dishes. Top-mounted quartz infrared heaters come on instantly. The unit idles at 25% heat and goes to full power when a plate is placed on the rack. It runs on 208V or 240V single phase at 3.6 kW and sits on the counter on its 4" legs or mounts on the wall.
Check counter or wall space for the 36-1/2" width and 17-1/8" depth, and keep 3" to combustible side walls.
A micro switch in the rack sends the heaters to 100% when product is placed on it. With no product, the unit idles at 25% heat to save energy.
Top-mounted quartz infrared tube heaters give instant on, instant off, even heat. They snap in for easy replacement.
The rack adjusts to four heights, with 2", 3-1/2", 4-3/4" or 6" clearance to the top for thin melts or taller plates.
Solid state controls with a fan-cooled electrical compartment. A single On-Off switch with a red indicator light.
Stainless steel top, inside, sides and fasteners, with 1" of insulation on the top, sides and back.

Yes. It can be wall mounted or set on the counter on the 4" adjustable legs that come with it.
To combustible surfaces: 0" at the rear and 3" on each side, and it may not sit on a combustible counter. To non-combustible surfaces: 0", with 4" under the unit when set on its legs.
No. With the master switch on, it idles at 25% heat. Placing product on the rack trips a switch that brings the heaters to full power.
The rack measures 30" x 13-1/2" and the inside of the unit is 31" x 14-1/4" x 9-1/2" (W x D x H).
One year limited parts and labor on all components except the heating elements, which carry a 90-day limited parts and labor warranty.
