An 18" Southbend stock pot range with 120,000 BTU, for big pots at a low working height.
The Southbend SPR-1J is an 18" floor-standing stock pot range for soups, stocks, sauces, boiling and frying in big pots. One three-ring cast iron burner (15,000, 45,000 and 60,000 BTU rings, each on its own knob) give 120,000 BTU on natural gas or propane, from a simmer to a full boil. Its 24" height puts large pots at a low working height, and it needs no electricity.

3-ring burners
Each burner has three rings of 15,000, 45,000 and 60,000 BTU on separate knobs, so you can hold a simmer or bring a full pot to a boil.
Low working height
The cooking surface is 24" off the floor, so tall stock pots sit low enough to fill, stir and check.
All-welded steel
A 14-gauge all-welded body with stainless front, sides and plate shelf, a removable welded steel grate and a welded drip tray under the burners.
Made in the USA
Built by Southbend in Fuquay-Varina, NC, with UL and NSF marks on the spec sheet and a 1-year parts and labor warranty.
Delivery and setup
- Ships by freight carrier. See our shipping policy for delivery details, and call us for the current lead time.
- Tell us natural gas or propane when you order.
- The 3/4" regulator ships with the range; your gas installer fits it and vents it to code.
- Inspect the shipment before signing for it and note any damage on the bill. Report concealed damage to the carrier within 15 days.
- Southbend does not recommend casters on these ranges; set it on the adjustable feet and level it.
Questions buyers ask
Natural gas or propane?
Either, at the same 120,000 BTU. Operating pressure is 5" W.C. for natural gas and 10" W.C. for propane. Tell us your gas type when ordering.
Does it need electricity?
No. It runs on gas only, with a pilot for each burner ring.
What gas hookup does it need?
One 3/4" Male Connection and the included 3/4" regulator. If you use a flexible hose, its inside diameter must be at least 3/4" and meet ANSI Z21.69.
Can I put it on casters?
Southbend does not recommend casters on any stock pot range model.
Can I use a wok on it?
Southbend offers a wok pot and support ring as an accessory. Call us to add it.
What does the warranty cover?
Southbend covers defects in parts and labor for 1 year from purchase, up to 18 months from the factory sale, serviced by a Southbend Authorized Service Agency. Spark igniters and similar wear parts are limited to 90 days, and damage from improper installation or misuse is not covered.
