A 5-pan countertop steamer that needs no water line: fill it by hand and wire it to the power.
The Southbend EZ24-5 is a boiler-free, connectionless countertop steamer for kitchens that need steamed food without plumbing a water line or floor drain. It holds 5 pans 2-1/2" deep, runs on 15 kW at 208V or 240V 3-phase (field convertible to single phase), and sits on 4" legs in a 24" wide footprint.

No plumbing needed
The steamer is connectionless: you fill the reservoir by hand and drain it manually, so it can go where there is no water line or floor drain.
Timed or constant steam
An illuminated switch selects timed cooking, off or constant steam, with a 60-minute timer and an end-of-cycle alarm.
Add-water alert
An add-water light with an audible alarm tells the operator when the reservoir needs filling.
Flexible power
It runs on 208V or 240V 3-phase at 15 kW and can be converted in the field to single phase or set to 10 kW.
Easy to clean
Removable pan supports and a removable steam diffuser plate that keeps objects out of the water reservoir.
Delivery and setup

- Tailgate delivery is drop-off at your entrance and does not include inside delivery or unpacking; it weighs 183 lb.
- Tell us your voltage and phase when you order; have a licensed electrician wire it to the data plate rating.
- No water line is needed; plan a spot within reach of the 1/2" NPT drain or order the drain hose kit.
- On a floor other than quarry tile, cement or natural stone (for example epoxy), Southbend asks you to contact the factory for installation options first. Call us and we will check.
- Inspect the shipment before signing for it and note any damage on the delivery receipt.
Questions buyers ask
Does it need a water line or floor drain?
No. It is connectionless: fill the reservoir by hand and drain it through the 1/2" NPT manual drain. An optional drain hose kit makes draining easier.
How many pans does it hold?
5 pans 2-1/2" deep, 3 pans 4" deep, 2 pans 6" deep or 10 pans 1" deep, all 12" x 20".
What electrical service does it need?
Standard is 208V or 240V 3-phase at 15 kW (41.6 A at 208V, 36.0 A at 240V). It can be converted in the field to single phase (72.1 A at 208V, 62.5 A at 240V) or set to 10 kW. Have an electrician confirm the circuit against the data plate.
What water should I use?
Southbend's 2026 warranty sets limits of 60 ppm total dissolved solids, 2 grains (35 ppm) hardness, pH 7.0-7.5 and 30-60 psi water pressure. The spec sheet adds alkalinity under 20 ppm, silica under 13 ppm, chlorine under 1.5 ppm and pH 6.8-7.3. Failures caused by poor water quality are not covered.
Can I stack two units?
Yes, with a double-unit stacking stand; Southbend installs stacking stands at the factory, so order it with the steamers.
Will it fit on my counter?
It is 24" wide and 25" deep and stands 29.5" tall on 4" legs. Leave 3" behind it and room on the left for the door to swing 16.88".
What does the warranty cover?
Southbend covers parts and labor for 1 year from purchase, serviced by a Southbend Authorized Service Agency, up to 18 months from purchase from the factory. Door and rubber seals and similar parts are limited to 90 days. Improper installation and failures caused by poor water quality are not covered.
