Vulcan VTEC60 58-1/2" IRX Infrared Gas Charbroiler, 5 Burners, 110,000 BTU, Piezo Ignition
A 58-1/2" infrared charbroiler that lights without pilots and cuts flare-ups.
The Vulcan VTEC60 is a 58-1/2" VTEC Series countertop charbroiler with Vulcan's IRX infrared burner system. 5 burner zones at 22,000 BTU/hr each give 110,000 BTU/hr under 11" x 25" stainless steel grids. A rotary piezo igniter lights each burner, so there are no standing pilots and no power cord.
Check the counter or stand: the unit needs 58.4" of width and 35.1" of depth.
Each 12" zone has a 22,000 BTU/hr patented infrared burner; Vulcan says IRX uses half the gas of a traditional charbroiler.
The steel emitter panel blocks convective air, which Vulcan says cuts flare-ups and keeps product from drying out.
A rotary piezo igniter lights each burner directly: no standing pilots and no power cord.
11" x 25" stainless steel grids give about 2 sq. ft. per burner zone, 55" x 25.25" in total.
A full width stainless front crumb tray and a removable heat shield and splash guard pull off for cleaning.
Vulcan builds it for the gas type you specify when ordering, natural gas or propane. Tell us which gas you have before you order.
Vulcan says the VTEC suits vegetables and lean proteins such as fish, seafood and chicken. Highly greasy or marinated foods are not recommended.
No. The rotary piezo igniter lights the burners without a power cord or an outlet.
Yes. Vulcan lists the emitter panels as consumable and includes 2 replacement panels with the VTEC60.
A 3/4" NPT rear connection with the regulator provided: 4.0" W.C. natural gas, 10.0" W.C. propane.
Vulcan lists a one year limited parts and labor warranty on the spec sheet.
